We're looking for a Social Media and Communications Coordinator to join the Marine Theatre in Lyme Regis.
You'll write well and have a strong visual awareness. You'll create engaging social media content, update our website accurately, and work with the Marketing and Programme Manager on other communications tasks.
It's a fun job for someone who loves theatre, music and comedy, but also an important one - you'll be helping to sell tickets and tell the world about the Marine Theatre!
The Marine Theatre is a beautiful arts venue on the Dorset coast. There are wonderful music, comedy, theatre, and community events, alongside occasional weddings. Sometimes there are big names like Ian McKellen or Bill Bailey and at other times diverse music acts such as This is the Kit and Mungo's Hifi. There are plenty of events that hold the community together, such as our vibrant Youth Theatre classes.
Overlooking the sea, it's an appealing place to work.
We're looking for someone with skills in some of the following areas, but training will be provided in others if needed:
* Making and delivering engaging social media with creative content
* Writing well for press releases, websites, and mailing lists
* Using mailing list software
* Updating websites
* Designing posters, social media assets, and print
You will have
* Excellent communication skills, particularly when writing
* A passion for music, comedy, theatre and community events, alongside a wider awareness of culture
* A strong visual awareness when creating and using marketing assets
* The ability to work quickly and efficiently while remaining accurate
If that sounds like you, then we would love to hear from you!
Application is by letter and CV. Please send in PDF format as attachments to marketing@marinetheatre.com. The closing date is 5 August.
Interviews will be in person at the Marine the following week.
The job is 4 days a week part time working on site at the Marine.
Salary is £23,000 - 26,000 pro-rata.
The working pattern will be decided by negotiation at the time of an offer and some flexibility can be offered.
You can come to any events with a guest at no charge. There's a pension contribution, 28 days a year pro-rata holiday, and a great sea view.
