This is a permanent, full-time position offering excellent job security, a supportive team environment, and modern working conditions. What you’ll be doing as a Mechanical Assembly Technician: Assembling full mechanical modules and sub-assemblies to specification Building machinery and equipment using hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools Working from engineering drawings and standard operating procedures (SOPs) Fitting components to tight tolerances with a focus on quality and accuracy Stripping down and reassembling units as part of build and testing processes Supporting production output and maintaining a clean, organised work area Following all health and safety procedures in a modern, well-equipped facility What I'm looking for in a Mechanical Assembly Technician: Previous experience as a Mechanical Assembly Technician, Mechanical Fitter or skilled Assembly Operative Able to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings Work ably with all hand and power tools Methodical, reliable, and detail-focused with a hands-on attitude NVQ Level 3 or similar qualification preferred – or equivalent hands-on experience A friendly, team-oriented approach and willingness to learn Pay & Benefits for Mechanical Assembly Technicians: Competitive hourly rate depending on experience 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday Early finish at 1pm on Fridays 33 days holiday (including bank holidays and Christmas shut-down) Modern site with excellent facilities Genuine long-term prospects and a team-focused culture This Mechanical Assembly Technician role would suit someone based in or around Bridlington, Driffield, Scarborough, Filey, Malton or East Hull.
