Regional Maintenance Technician
Location: Head Office Faversham and across Avante locations
Contract Type: Full-time 37.5hours
Salary: Up to £28,415

We are seeking a hands-on and proactive Regional Maintenance Technician to lead and support day-to-day maintenance operations across our residential care homes.
As a Regional Maintenance Technician, you will deliver a wide range of maintenance services, from everyday repairs to property improvement projects. You’ll support on-site technicians, to ensure work quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out basic building repairs (e.g. plumbing, carpentry, lighting) and emergency maintenance
* Support statutory checks and safety systems: fire alarms, water temp monitoring, PAT testing, etc.
* Assist with redecoration, refurbishments, and furniture moves
* Support the home management team with completion of COSHH inventories, various risk assessments, fire drills and related record keeping
* Monitor grounds maintenance standards and contractor performance
* Support internal health and safety compliance and documentation
* Occasionally lead small projects or assist in special maintenance tasks
* Maintain digital records and liaise effectively with home managers and technicians
Essential
What We’re Looking For
* Strong hands-on experience in property maintenance and repairs
* Full clean driving licence and flexibility to travel as needed
* Competent with IT systems and mobile work apps
Desirable
* A trade qualification
* Previous experience in care home or school environments
* Familiarity with job costing, grounds maintenance, or supervising others#
