IT Systems Infrastructure Engineer – Piramal Pharma Solutions, Morpeth
As the IT Systems Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in managing and troubleshooting the IT systems infrastructure at our Morpeth site. You’ll serve as a Level 3 technical escalation point for on-site IT Support Engineers and collaborate with consultants and contractors on project-specific initiatives. Your expertise will ensure the seamless operation of IT services — directly contributing to our mission of delivering high-quality pharmaceutical solutions. 💊
Responsibilities
* Manage and troubleshoot the IT Systems Infrastructure function at the Piramal Pharma Solutions site in Morpeth.
* Act as Level 3 technical escalation for on-site IT Support Engineers and project-specific contractors/consultants.
* Support IT Operations and Application teams with technical assessments and infrastructure design.
* Collaborate with Corporate IT and vendors for complex Level 2/3 issues and infrastructure changes.
* Establish priorities and timelines, ensuring adequate resources for all IT initiatives.
* Provide regular reports to operational management on IT infrastructure updates and performance.
* Balance multiple projects while maintaining existing infrastructure reliability and efficiency.
Qualifications
* 🎓 Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
* 🏅 Certifications such as MCSA/MCSE, VCP, CCNA/CCNP are highly desirable.
* 💡 Excellent IT skills with strong exposure to end-user services, technologies, and products.
* 🧩 Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities with hands‑on knowledge of current technologies.
* 🖥️ Intermediate understanding of datacenter, networking, and security services.
* 🔐 Stays current with emerging security alerts and IT trends.
* 🧭 Proven project planning and management experience.
* 📈 Business Intelligence and SQL/Oracle Database Administration skills are desirable.
* 🌐 Ability to build and maintain strong professional networks.
* 💬 Excellent communication skills — able to explain technical and business concepts clearly.
