About this Position:
We are recruiting for an experienced Instrument Pipefitter to work on a Biomass Plant project located in the PE16 area, starting on 2nd June for a minimum of 2 months. The role involves carrying out instrument pipework installations to gas flow meters and related equipment in hazardous areas. A strong background in high-risk environments such as oil & gas, chemical, or pharmaceutical sectors is essential.
This is a site-based role on a demanding shift pattern of 12 days on, 2 days off, with enhanced pay for full shift commitment. Suitable for candidates seeking consistent work on a long-term contract with additional allowances.
Job Responsibilities:
* Installation of instrument pipework to gas flow meters and associated systems.
* Working within hazardous areas; ensuring all safety standards are adhered to.
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and P&IDs.
* Working to precise standards, particularly in relation to small-bore tubing and instrument connections.
* Collaborating with site engineers and project managers to meet installation deadlines.
Experience Required:
* Previous experience as an Instrument Pipefitter in hazardous industrial environments.
* Background in Oil & Gas, Chemical, Pharmaceutical or similar high-risk sectors.
* Competency with small-bore pipework and instrument installations.
* Strong understanding of hazardous area classifications (e.g., ATEX).
* Must be willing and able to work 12 consecutive days, with the following schedule:
o Monday to Saturday: 12 hours worked, 14 hours paid (includes 2 hours per day towards digs)
o Sunday: 6 hours worked, 12 hours paid + 40 weekend bonus
To receive the full dig and uplift package, the full 12-day working stretch must be completed (exceptions for pre-agreed leave only). Otherwise, payment will be made for actual hours worked only.
