Engineering SupervisorMarket Dryaton£55,0004 on / 4 off shift patternYolk Recruitment is supporting a high-volume manufacturing site in the Middlesbrough area with the appointment of an Engineering Supervisor to support the delivery of site engineering activities on a rotating 4 on / 4 off shift pattern.This role sits at the heart of the engineering function, providing hands-on leadership on shift while ensuring engineering standards, safety, and plant performance are maintained within a fast-paced production environment.The roleAs Engineering Supervisor, you will be responsible for the effective coordination and supervision of engineering activities on shift, including:Leading and coordinating a team of shift engineers to ensure maintenance tasks are delivered safely and efficientlyManaging day-to-day engineering priorities, including planned work and unplanned breakdownsActing as the first point of escalation for technical issues during the shiftSupporting fault diagnosis and repairs across a range of production and site equipmentEnsuring engineering work is completed to required safety, quality, and compliance standardsMaintaining clear communication with production and site leadership teamsDeputising for senior engineering leadership when requiredWhat you'll bring You'll be well suited to this role if you have:Experience supervising or stepping up within an engineering team in a manufacturing environmentA strong multi-skilled maintenance background, covering both electrical and mechanical systemsConfidence prioritising workloads and coordinating engineers in a time-critical settingA practical, hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example on shiftA safety-first mindset with a focus on continuous improvementFormal engineering qualifications such as NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalentWhat's on offer£55,000 salary4 on / 4 off shift patternA key supervisory role within a busy, modern manufacturing siteOngoing investment in equipment, processes, and peopleThe opportunity to develop leadership capability within a structured engineering teamAre you up to the challenge?
