The Company

Responsibilities as our Technical Authorwill include:
* Receiving instruction writing tasks from a variety of internal sources
* Compiling instructions based on supplier instructions, encompassing your own knowledge and experience
* Proofreading instructions from other Instruction Writers
* Liaising with Technical Compliance, Parts Department and Quality Control Workshop Engineers when compiling and finalising instructions for print or onward delivery
What we’re looking for in our Technical Author:
* Good general knowledge and understanding of hand tools and electrical and mechanical tools and equipment
* Excellent writing and communication skills
* The ability to work on several projects at once without direct supervision
* Someone highly organised, with the ability to work to deadlines while still maintaining attention to detail
* A sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
* A background or interest in a mechanical, electrical or automotive field
* Experience of InDesign and Photoshop would be an advantage, although not essential
