Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join their organisation on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
Reporting to the Head of HR Business Partnering, this role will act as a trusted strategic advisor to senior leaders, shaping and delivering people strategies that enable strong performance, organisational effectiveness, and sustainable growth.
Supporting Commercial Operations and Asset Risk teams, you will align people priorities with business objectives, drive workforce capability, and use insight‑led decision‑making to enhance engagement, performance, and long‑term organisational resilience.

Responsibilities
Strategic HR Partnership
* Act as a strategic advisor to Executives and senior leaders
* Align people priorities with business plans to drive performance and engagement
* Translate commercial objectives into effective, measurable people strategies
Organisational Design & Workforce Planning
* Shape and implement organisational design initiatives
* Lead workforce and succession planning to ensure future capability and bench strength
* Support long‑term organisational effectiveness and growth
Leadership Coaching & Change Management
* Coach senior leaders to build high‑performing, inclusive teams
* Support leaders through transformation and organisational change
* Champion a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and continuous improvement
Data‑Driven Decision Making
* Use people data, dashboards, and insight to inform strategic decisions
* Identify risk areas and opportunities for improvement
* Drive measurable improvements in engagement, capability, and performance
Employee Relations & Compliance
* Provide expert advice on UK employment legislation and people policies
* Support HR Advisors to ensure fair, consistent, and compliant practices
* Partner with HR Centres of Excellence to deliver resourcing, talent, and learning initiatives
Requirements
* Demonstrable experience operating as an HR Business Partner within a commercial or complex organisation
* Strong expertise in organisational design, workforce planning, and succession planning
* Proven experience coaching senior leaders and supporting transformation programmes
* Solid working knowledge of UK employment legislation
* Experience using people metrics and data to inform decision‑making and manage risk
* Ability to influence at senior levels with credibility and sound judgement
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
* Experience in a regulated, matrix, or fast‑paced commercial environment
* Exposure to large‑scale business transformation programmes
* Experience contributing to cross‑functional HR projects
* Confidence using HR analytics and workforce planning tools
