Your Future Duties and Responsibilities
As a Site Reliability Engineer you will design, build, and operate bespoke, technically complex, mission‑critical systems for government clients. You will partner with customers to define, guide, and assure the delivery of integrated solutions, continuously seek opportunities for system performance improvements, and investigate and resolve incidents aligned to SLAs.
Required Qualifications
* Background in Software Engineering, including automation scripts, infrastructure as code, tooling or framework development, and feature development, ideally using Java and/or Python.
* Experience engineering enablement products such as CI/CD, observability, and alerting.
* Experience creating designs and documentation, including “how to user guides.”
* Experience investigating and resolving incidents and problems aligned to the SLAs.
* Continuously seeking opportunities for system performance improvements.
* A passion for learning new technologies and innovation.
Desirable
* Experience working on AWS.
* Linux and Windows administration.
* Containerisation experience such as Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift.
* Experience of security protocols such as PKI, TLS, etc.

Security Clearance
This role requires candidates to either already hold, or be eligible to obtain, a high level of UK Security Clearance. Eligibility requires British nationality, 10 years UK residency, and not having spent more than 28 consecutive days outside the UK in the last five years.
