️ Qualified Social Worker – Adults Learning Disabilities West Yorkshire
£30 per hour (agency role)
Are you a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker with a passion for supporting adults with learning disabilities? We’re looking for an experienced practitioner to join a forward-thinking and supportive Adults Learning Disabilities Team in West Yorkshire.

About the Role
As a Qualified Social Worker, you’ll be working with adults with learning disabilities to promote independence, improve quality of life, and support individuals in achieving their personal goals.
You will:
* Carry out strengths-based Care Act assessments
* Develop and review person-centred support plans
* Apply knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and Safeguarding Adults procedures
* Work closely with families, carers, health professionals, and other agencies
* Promote independence, inclusion, and dignity
* Ensure positive, long-term outcomes through evidence-based practice
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a confident and experienced professional who brings empathy, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to high-quality social work.
You must have:
* A degree in Social Work (or equivalent qualification)
* Registration with Social Work England
* A minimum of 2 years post-qualified experience, ideally in adult services
* Experience working with adults with learning disabilities or complex needs
* Strong understanding of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding frameworks
* The ability to build meaningful relationships with individuals, families, and multi-disciplinary teams
* Excellent communication, assessment, and care planning skills
* A reflective, flexible, and person-centred approach to practice
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct person-centred assessments and support planning
* Manage a varied caseload and maintain accurate records
* Undertake safeguarding enquiries where necessary
* Promote independence and community engagement
* Offer advice and guidance to service users, carers, and colleagues
* Support the professional development of junior staff and students (where required)
