Accommodation Officer – Temporary Accommodation Facilities
Base: Merton Hotel or The Holly Tree Barton Road
Hours: Full Time hours 37.5 –part time hours may be considered.
Various shift options available 9am-5pm;5pm-1am;1am-9am
Pay: £24,447 per annum or pro rata with additional 30% for unsocial hours between 9pm and 9am.
Term: Permanent, subject to funding
Vennture Enterprises Properties provide emergency accomodation for those experiencing temporary homelessness. You will ensure that our guests enjoy safe, secure and well-purposed accommodation by providing 24 hour continuous oversight and that they are met with understanding and compassion.
About the Role
These roles provide 24 cover for the hotel for 7 days of the week. You will ensure guests are safeguarded and the terms of the stay are adhered to. You will be a welcoming presence, ensuring all guests are kept safe and the building is secure, respected and a safe, well-purposed place.
There may be some responsibility for managing bookings and room allocations whilst on duty, along with general upkeep and health and safety duties as they arise as well as dealing with any emergencies that may occur.

1. You are considerate, caring and non-judgemental
2. You have a good understanding of the issues faced by those experiencing temporary homelessness
3. You are self-motivated and can manage your time effectively; prioritising different areas of work according to needs and deadlines.
4. You are reliable and committed and willing to work to a common goal
5. You are practical and hard-working
6. You are happy to work nights and be alert at all times and be available for vital support and assistance
Training will be provided, as necessary, to ensure you feel confident to fulfil all aspects of the role.
