The Production Planner will be responsible for processing and planning of orders for machined components. Duties of the Planning Engineer: To keep abreast of internal capability and capacity to enable customer delivery expectations to be consistently achieved. Liaise with shop floor team leaders when highly complex parts are required. To maximise profitability when creating job cards after reviewing sales estimate by improving planned routing and raw material selection wherever possible, while minimising waste of materials, transportation and labour. To always maintain a professional but friendly working relationship with all suppliers and colleagues within the group. To liaise with all other departments in order to expedite the intended workflow and help resolve quality and logistical issues The successful candidate for the Planning Engineers position will have the following experience: 3 5 years experience working as a Production Engineer (Essential) Experience working within a machining environment (Essential) Working within a Fasteners environment (Desirable) Working with ERP Systems (Essential) Due to the high number of applications we receive, we are sometimes not able to respond directly to each candidate.
