Overview
Are you a skilled Class 2 (Cat C) Driver searching for a reliable, long-term role? If you enjoy being out on the road and making customers smile with every delivery, GXO invites you to apply for the Class 2 Driver role in Colchester (CO3 8DW). This is a full-time, permanent position with a two-week rotating shift pattern: Week 1 – Monday to Friday; Week 2 – Sunday to Thursday, start time 11:00. The role is contracted to 40 hours per week.

* Hourly rate of £14.97, equivalent to an annual salary of £31,137.60

What you’ll do on a typical day
* Deliver products to customer premises on a multidrop basis – average of 16 drops per day off peak and 24 drops per day in peak season
* Maintain accurate driving/working time records using Tachomaster and manual entries as required by WTD regulations
* Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner
* Check off products from the vehicle and ensure customers receive correct products and documentation
* Inform customers of estimated delivery times and communicate any issues politely and courteously
What you need to succeed at GXO
* Previous multidrop/store delivery experience preferred but not essential
* Full UK driving licence with category C entitlement
* No more than 6 penalty points on licence (no DD, DR, DG, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT)
* Up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph
* Excellent customer service skills, written and verbal
* Willingness to undertake pre-employment DBS check
* Be prepared to commute to Colchester (CO3 8DW) for the required shift pattern
