This is a pivotal role within a growing organisation where you’ll lead the finance function, ensure accurate and timely reporting, and support strategic decision-making at the highest level. The Opportunity Our client is seeking a Financial Controller who will: Lead day-to-day operations of the finance team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow management processes. Provide strategic financial insight to inform business decisions and long-term planning. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, audit, tax, and regulatory requirements. Maintain strong financial controls, policies, and procedures, with a focus on revenue recognition in long-term contracts. Drive operational efficiency through process improvement and systems development. Develop and mentor a high-performing finance team. Oversee monthly payroll, VAT, and intercompany financial arrangements. Candidate Profile Essential Qualifications & Experience: Professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent). Proven experience in a senior finance role, ideally within a complex or project-based environment. Strong technical understanding of financial standards and regulations. Key Skills & Attributes: Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Commercially minded, with the ability to align financial performance with strategic goals. Proactive, hands-on, and pragmatic in approach. Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to finance and non-finance stakeholders alike. Technical Proficiency: Advanced user of Microsoft Excel. Confident working with financial software and ERP systems.
