Concorde 2 is Brighton's number one live music venue and nightclub. We play host to a continuously diverse cross section of events for some of the world's greatest artists and events.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, music loving individual to join our team on a freelance basis, in the role of Backstage Coordinator. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the team running the venue during live shows and club nights.
Responsibilities include:
· Being the main point of contact for the Promoter Rep while backstage. Responding to any requests and ensuring ongoing communication throughout the show
· Management of hospitality (artist liaison and rider) during any in-house shows
· Management of dressing rooms, pre and post show, including towel maintenance
· Maintaining a good relationship with the security team and attending security briefings pre-show`
· Ensuring private areas are kept clear of general public when backstage is open during club nights
· Occasional management of customer ticket lists, liaison with box office staff
· General bar work
· Facilitating customers with access needs / safe space needs in the backstage area
· Assistance with stage pack down / changeover when required
Personal Requirements:
· 1-2 years' experience within a music venue / similar role (preferred)
· Must be flexible and available to work all events hosted at the venue (including club nights)
· Passionate about music. An active event goer who possesses knowledge of the venue and events we host
· Can display a good knowledge of our industry colleagues and client base such as promoters, booking agents and ticketing agents.
· Self-motivating and good communicator with the ability to problem solve
Wage: Provided on application
Hours: By show requirement, 5pm – late (occasional day shifts may be required)
