Job Title: Safety Engineer

Flexible Opportunities: Hybrid - (Flexible Work Hours - 37h week)
Working Hours: Monday - Thursday 08:00 to 16:30 & Friday 08:00 to 13:00
Introduction:
Matchtech has teamed up with a powerhouse in aerospace, defence, and security to find a Safety & Reliability Engineer who's ready to take the lead where it counts.
You'll be at the heart of mission-critical projects-working with design teams to shape strategy, drive decisions, and deliver essential safety and reliability analyses like FMEA, FTA, FHA, and more, across the full development cycle.
What will I be doing?
To thrive in this role, you'll be a:
1. Master of Data: Crunch the numbers and decode the data-your insights will keep our next-gen landing gear systems not just airborne, but ahead of the curve in safety and reliability.
2. Reliability Champion: Step up as the go-to expert in product reliability-keeping performance flawless and failures off the radar.
3. Data Detective: Gather real-world performance data and turn it into sharp, actionable reports that keep teams informed and ahead of the game.
4. Collaborative Innovator: Team up with Systems Architects to build rock-solid Safety Management Plans that protect the integrity of our most advanced designs.
5. Problem Solver: Tackle faults head-on and dig into root causes-your detailed analyses will boost the reliability and safety of our high-performance landing gear systems.
What do I need to succeed?
To be successful in this role you'll be the:
6. Engineering Whiz: Degree-qualified or hands-on expert-either way, your know-how is what counts. With skills in mechanical engineering, hydraulics, and electrical systems, you'll handle complex designs with confidence and precision.
7. Certification Savvy: Well-versed in airworthiness requirements and certification processes-you'll ensure our products stay compliant, reliable, and ready for take-off.
8. Systems Specialist: Fluent in systems engineering theory, including ARP4754 and ARP4761, driving designs that are both robust and reliable.
9. Technical Communicator: Skilled in managing requirements, driving validation and verification (ideally with DOORS), and crafting clear, precise technical reports.
