Overview
The Health and Fitness Manager plays a vital role in promoting a healthy lifestyle within the community. This position involves overseeing fitness programmes, managing staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality health and fitness services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sports coaching and teaching, along with a solid understanding of anatomy to effectively guide clients in their fitness journeys.
Duties
* Develop and implement comprehensive health and fitness programmes tailored to meet the needs of diverse clients.
* Supervise and mentor fitness instructors and personal trainers, ensuring they deliver exceptional service.
* Conduct assessments of clients' fitness levels and create personalised training plans based on their goals.
* Organise workshops, classes, and events to promote health awareness and encourage community participation.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, techniques, and best practices in health and fitness.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the facility.
* Collaborate with other health professionals to provide holistic support for clients' well-being.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in sports coaching or teaching within a fitness environment is essential.
* Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology as it relates to physical fitness and exercise.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire individuals from various backgrounds.
* Strong organisational skills with an aptitude for managing multiple tasks effectively.
* Relevant certifications in health, fitness, or personal training would be advantageous.
