An excellent and rewarding opportunity has arisen for an experience and ambitious Quality Controller, to join our team at our Evesham Depot in Worcestershire.
Job Role
* Inspect incoming shipments of fruit & vegetables for freshness, damage, grade, and compliance with specifications, completing QC reports.
* Monitor warehouse inventory, conducting routine checks to prevent spoilage and ensure proper storage categorisation.
* Oversee outgoing orders, verifying quality prior to dispatch.
* Manage quarantine procedures and hold non‑conforming goods.
* Maintain detailed documentation for inspections, traceability, and regulatory compliance.
* Collaborate with warehouse staff to resolve quality issues, provide guidance, and support continuous improvement.
* Support internal/external audits and uphold GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards.
Skills & Experience Required
* At least 1 year experience in produce inspection, quality, or food/warehouse environments.
* Familiar with fresh produce standards, ideally with grading or labelling knowledge.
* Proficient in computer skills and record-keeping.
* Attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and strong communication skills.
* Ability to work in varied warehouse environments (cold, humidity).

* Follow and adhere to all parts of the staff handbook.
