Role Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Central and West Community Rehabilitation Team for an experienced and talented Occupational Therapist to undertake the role of Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist supporting Continuing Health Care (CHC). As the specialist lead for this area of work, you will be responsible for managing referrals and caseloads and providing specialist Occupational Therapy assessment of needs for those patients who are receiving Continuing Health Care Funding.
Responsibilities
* Manage referrals and caseload for Continuing Health Care (CHC) patients.
* Provide specialist Occupational Therapy assessment of needs for patients receiving Continuing Health Care Funding.
* Specialist lead for complex equipment risk assessment, prescription and provision.
* Support staff and service development with a specialist role in education and training support around equipment and risk assessment.
* Assess, treat, plan, deliver and evaluate evidence‑based highly specialised occupational therapy intervention.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experienced Occupational Therapist with expert knowledge in complex equipment risk assessment.
* Knowledge and experience of the Continuing Health Care system preferred.
