Maintenance person

Gillingham (Kent)
RCB Healthcare Group
£24,000 - £33,000 a year
Posted: 21 September
Offer description

We are looking for a Maintenance Person to look after one of our lovely Care Homes in Gillingham, Kent to work Monday to Friday. Hours are 8am to 4.30pm with 30 minute unpaid break (40 hours per week contract) .

Unfortunately we do not offer sponsorship at this present time.

The care sector is such a rich and rewarding place to work, you don't have to be a carer to make a meaningful difference in our care homes. We want the kindest and most resilient people to come and support our Residents – no two days will be the same and you will receive the ongoing learning and development you need to thrive.

As a Maintenance Operative that will mean making sure our Residents live in a place that's proactively inspected and brilliantly maintained at all times. You will carry out audits and make sure records are kept up to date. And, whether you're replacing a tap or mixer valve, fitting a new extractor fan, repairing the timber on a bedroom window or putting up new wallpaper in the dining room, you will do so with a sense of kindness above anything else.

We are looking for a Maintenance Operative with solid experience in maintenance, building, DIY, garden maintenance and simple plumbing and electrical repairs. You will also preferably have experience in completing fire alarm checks too. And, whenever you communicate with a resident or co-worker, you'll be truly considerate and kind. Driving licence is a must.
