Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Business Development Executive will be responsible for maximising the sales potential and achieving the meeting room sales targets of a hotel. Maintain existing accounts while generating new business from these accounts, meeting agreed-upon targets. Actively promote the hotels image and services through both print and verbal communication. Prepare and execute specific annual and quarterly sales and marketing action plans. Keep the client database and CRM system up to date. Participate fully in all sales activities, including sales research, telesales, sales calls to the local and regional market, corporate client entertaining, social events, promotions, and familiarization (FAM) events. Identify key competitors and conduct regular competitor analyses to monitor their performance, rates, and sales activities. Flexibility within each job category and functional area is required, along with the ability to interchange responsibilities between departments. What You Will Need: A minimum of one year of experience in a similar role within the hospitality sector. Reactive sales experience is essential, while proactive sales experience is desirable. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to oversee and delegate work to others. A warm, friendly, and approachable personality when interacting with both staff and guests. Depending on the hotels business levels, you may be asked to assist with duties as directed by management. These duties may include tasks related to various areas of the hotel and its operations. The ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent communication skills and fluency in spoken and written English.
