ST TALENT are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant on behalf of an established business based in Leeds. This Accounts Assistant role would suit someone with previous experience within a finance or accounts environment who is looking to join a supportive and professional team. The successful Accounts Assistant will support the day-to-day running of the finance function, assisting with invoicing, payments, reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities
* Set up and maintain customer and supplier accounts
* Assess and process new credit applications
* Review and adjust customer credit limits where required
* Process sales and purchase invoices
* Manage supplier payments and customer receipts
* Process employee expenses
* Carry out bank reconciliations
* Support weekly wage processing with training provided
* Maintain financial records and spreadsheets
* Assist with month-end and year-end reporting activities
Requirements
* Previous experience working within an accounts or finance role
* Strong numerical and analytical skills
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Good organisation and time management skills
* Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
* Understanding of confidentiality within a finance environment
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
