Marketing &; Sales Lead
Remote role (1 day in office) - near Northampton, Northamptonshire
About the Role:
The External Relationships &; Marketing Lead will play a key role in generating commercial income, managing external partnerships, and coordinating marketing activity across a well-renowned Dental Therapist &; Hygienist society and its digital platforms.
The successful candidate will manage relationships with commercial partners, advertisers, sponsors, exhibitors, and stakeholders while ensuring all activity aligns with the Society’s professional standards and member experience.
This varied and fast-paced role combines sales, marketing, account management, partnership development, and event engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Dental Health Journal Advertising
* Manage advertising sales for the Society’s Dental Health journal
* Contact existing and prospective clients to confirm advertising requirements
* Issue booking paperwork and liaise with society’s accounts
* Maximise advertising revenue opportunities
* Maintain strong and professional relationships with commercial partners
* Monitor production and printing costs to ensure value for money
* Ensure advertising copy deadlines are met through timely follow-up and communication
Digital Marketing &; Sponsorship
Manage and sell advertising and sponsorship opportunities across digital platforms, including:
* E-shots – selling sponsored e-shot spaces and coordinating content delivery
* Sponsored social media – managing sponsored Facebook content while balancing member-focused communications
* Website advertising – selling banner and advertising space across the website
* Product trials – coordinating commercial product trials and volunteer engagement while ensuring GDPR compliance
* Webinars – securing sponsored webinar partners and coordinating marketing administration
* Podcast sponsorship – selling sponsored placements across podcast episodes
Regional Groups
* Manage trade relationships linked to the society’s Regional Groups
* Act as a key contact for external companies
* Coordinate and administer bulk bookings on behalf of commercial partners
Partnerships
* Support and manage external commercial partnerships
* Coordinate and deliver agreed joint marketing activity and campaigns
Dental Trade Shows &; Events
Represent the society at major dental industry events and conferences taking place throughout the year.
Responsibilities include:
* Maintaining relationships with existing clients
* Developing new commercial opportunities
* Promoting the society’s visibility within the dental industry
* Generating sponsorship and advertising leads
Accreditation Scheme:
* Manage accreditation renewals and associated administration
* Respond to member and company accreditation enquiries
* Coordinate invoicing and documentation processes
* Liaise with the Education Group regarding accreditation reviews
About You:

Essential Skills &; Experience
* Experience in marketing, sponsorship sales, partnerships, or account management
* Strong relationship-building and communication skills
* Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines
* Commercial awareness and confidence in revenue generation
* Excellent organisational and administrative skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively
* Strong attention to detail and professional communication skills
Desirable
* Experience within a membership organisation, association, or healthcare environment
* Familiarity with digital marketing platforms and social media scheduling
* Experience coordinating events, webinars, or sponsorship activity
* Understanding of GDPR and data handling best practices
* Knowledge of the dental or healthcare sector
