CNC Turner in Sandy, Bedford area. Permanent Role, Day Shift, up to £18 an hour.
Our Client is looking to recruit a CNC Turner / CNC Machinist to work on a day shift in a full-time permanent role.
Primary Role: Produce precision machined components by programming, setting, and operating CNC Machines Lathes to meet customer demand and expectations.
Requirements include CNC Turning experience, setting and operating on CNC Lathes, and ideally, programming experience on Lathes. The ability to read and understand engineering drawings is also necessary.
Machine List includes: Citizen Sliders, Miyano, Haas SL10, Haas DS30, Doosan, CMZ TA20, Hardinge, and Takisawa TC10.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate any machinery required to meet production schedules and targets
* Ensure orders are completed to the correct standard, within budget, and on time
* Work from customer drawings and specifications to produce parts in accordance with the Quality Code of Practice
* Understand, interpret, and edit programs to the standard company format
* Inspect parts following the Checking/Inspection Process
* Ensure works orders are correctly opened and closed on the company's computerized system
* Maintain tooling and ensure it is returned to tool stores
* Actively monitor working practices and provide feedback to improve efficiencies and job profitability
* Ensure adherence to Health and Safety standards and environmental regulations
* Maintain a clean and manageable work area
* Undertake weekly maintenance checks of machinery and record in the machinery maintenance log
* Comply with the company Environmental and Recycling policy
* Undertake any additional duties as required
