My client is a leading UK law firm with niche sector specialisms and a progressive culture, they are now looking for a pro-active and confident HR Assistant to join their fast-paced London office on a permanent basis.
Reporting to the HR Manager, the main responsibility for the HR Assistant will be provide varied support to the HR Team to deliver its high-quality service to clients while supporting the firm with any new HR Projects and undertaking ad hoc duties.
The key duties will include:
1. Supporting the Senior Managers with annual and mid-year review processes and producing HR data including headcount.
2. Managing leavers process, including updating internal systems, ensuring accurate payroll processing, holding exit interviews and undertaking reference requests for ex-employees.
3. Becoming a super user for the firm’s internal system and conducting reporting while supporting the Payroll & Benefits Team with benefits administration.
4. Managing absence processes and accurately updating internal systems.
5. Assisting with the annual graduate recruitment process including assessment centres, vacation weeks, law fairs, tracking applications and managing the main Application mailbox and responding to first line recruitment queries.
6. Acting as a gatekeeper for HR input by maintaining the internal profiles on the intranet, reviewing documents for expired and old content and producing HR submissions.
7. Managing the firm’s Professional Development Programme, sourcing and booking training, ensuring accurate training records are kept and invoices paid and co-ordinating central training, budgets and invoices.
8. Actively involved in D&I projects, sources and books events, managing reporting and preparing Diversity data.
The HR Assistant will have at least 12 month’s experience in a fast-paced generalist HR role supporting a team ideally within professional services environment. It is essential to possess excellent organisational skills and confidently juggle competing demands on their time. The right candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail and excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external clients and stakeholders. The HR Assistant will be an enthusiastic and competent professional meeting high levels of client service with a ‘hands-on’ approach.
