This position is based at an Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ secondary school in the heart of Lancaster. They are looking for a committed individual to deliver high-standard cover lessons in the absence of teachers. The selected teacher will support the school's objectives and ensure all students continue to experience inclusive learning.
The school has a welcoming and close-knit community with strong links to the surrounding areas it serves. They pride themselves on offering excellent support to pupils to ensure they receive the best possible education during their time at the school.
The role:
* Build rapport with pupils
* Collect work after lessons to pass to the correct teacher
* Manage pupil behaviour effectively
* Ensure pre-set work is completed
* Handle any issues that arise appropriately
The successful candidate will:
* Have experience working with small or large groups of children
* Be available at least 2 days a week
* Be flexible and available at short notice
* Driving ability would be an advantage
* Hold a QTS or similar qualification; other positions are available if not

All pay rates quoted include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with potential for permanence later.
