Are you looking for a role where no two days are ever the same?

We are looking for a dedicated full-time SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and well-supported school in the Wakefield area (WF6). These are temporary full-time positions, with the potential for permanent placement for the right candidates. The school is well connected and just a short walk from bus and train routes.

What we're looking for at Randstad: We're seeking passionate individuals who are committed to creating positive outcomes for children with a variety of social, emotional, and behavioural needs.

Requirements:

* Eligible to work in the UK without any restrictions (NO SPONSORSHIP)
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths are essential
* Experience working with children with challenging behaviour in an educational or care setting
* Team Teach training is desirable but not essential
* Strong interpersonal skills with a calm and resilient approach
* Possess an Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to get one through Randstad.
* Passionate about inclusion and supporting children to succeed
* Able to work full time, Monday to Friday (8:45am-3:15pm)

Key responsibilities:

* Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH and SEND needs
* Promote a calm and structured learning environment
* Use de-escalation techniques and build positive, trusting relationships
* Support teaching staff with planning and delivering accessible learning activities
* Encourage pupils' social development and emotional regulation
* Monitor and report on student progress, behaviour and wellbeing
* Work closely with the SENCO, teachers, and external agencies
