UK Based – Remote working
Competitive salary + Excellent Benefits
We are partnering with a leading consultancy who are looking for a Design Manager, to work on cutting-edge hyperscale and colocation projects across Europe. You will take ownership of the full design process — from concept through to handover — ensuring the seamless integration of architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.
This is a pivotal role for a detail-oriented and technically adept professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys driving collaboration between internal teams, consultants, and contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the design process across multiple data centre projects, ensuring design intent, compliance, and coordination.
* Manage internal and external design teams, reviewing drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
* Ensure designs meet client requirements, project budgets, and schedule constraints.
* Work closely with construction and commissioning teams to ensure design deliverables translate effectively on site.
* Oversee value engineering, design risk management, and technical assurance processes.
* Support innovation in sustainability, energy efficiency, and modular design principles.
The role will suit someone who is:
* Degree-qualified in Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
* Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary design on large-scale projects — ideally in data centre.
* Strong understanding of MEP systems, building services, and critical infrastructure design principles.
* Confident leading design coordination meetings and engaging with clients and contractors.
* Excellent communication, commercial awareness, and problem-solving skills.
In return you will work for a market leader and be part of one of the fastest-growing sectors in construction and technology. Excellent career progression, training, and international project exposure.
