Role Overview
As a Customer Service Specialist for Rotating Machines (RMR), you will manage GE Vernova’s customer connect processes, organize Rotating Machine annual inspections, and prepare quotations for field service, spare parts, repairs, and replacements. You will follow individual work plans, meet short-term objectives, and resolve issues through immediate or short-term planning. This role is vital in driving revenue and growth for RMR Service.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead customer reconnects, campaigns, and inspection scheduling.
* Support incoming inquiries and understand customer needs for RFQs.
* Engage directly with customers via calls and Teams meetings.
* Identify issues in customer requests to mitigate risks.
* Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate and compliant bids.
* Prepare and present high-quality quotations aligned with SLAs.
* Manage tenders and support field services, parts, repairs, and replacements, providing leads and customer info to sales, and managing suppliers.
* Collaborate across teams on a matrix basis.
* Maintain supplier relationships to ensure quality standards.
* Build long-term customer relationships, advising on maintenance and inventory.
* Maintain accurate data to analyze customer and market trends.
Qualifications & Background
* Educated to A-level or equivalent experience.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong organizational and time-management skills.
* Customer-focused with a proactive attitude.
* Experience in sales or engineering preferred.
* Previous customer-facing role advantageous.
* CRM tool experience desirable.
