Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Senior Scientist to support Regeneron Cell Medicine (RCM) mission to bring innovative cell therapy products to patients. This role will be critical to advance TCR- and CAR-based programs, as well as bring new ideas to improve our platforms and future programs.
As a Senior Scientist, a typical day might include:
* Leveraging molecular biology techniques to design constructs, clone, and generate lentiviral vectors using proprietary platform technology
* Designing and carrying out experimental plans to functionally characterize TCR- and CAR-based T cell products through cell-based assays and other relevant procedures to explore and validate novel cell therapy approaches.
* Maintaining detailed and timely records of experimental protocols, results, and observations.
* Identifying experimental challenges and collaborating with the team to troubleshoot technical issues and propose creative solutions to overcome obstacles.
* Staying informed about the latest scientific advancements and applying relevant technologies to improve experimental processes to enhance the efficiency and efficacy of our cell therapy research
This role might be for you if you have:
* The ability to work effectively in a team-based research environment, exhibiting leadership in the lab on a day-to-day basis
* Strong problem-solving skills and capacity to think critically and innovatively
* Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex scientific information to diverse audiences
* Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality, reliable data
* Excited to support and mentor junior lab members to foster scientific & technical development and ensure experimental excellence
In order to be considered for this role, you must have at least a Ph.D. in Immunology, Cancer Biology, Molecular Biology, or a related field and 0-3 years of relevant experience or a BS/MS and 8-10+ years of relevant experience. Must have hands-on experience on LV-vector construct design, cloning, vector production, and mastery of basic molecular biology techniques. Experience with cell-based assays and functional assays measuring T cell activation, cytokine release, proliferation, survival, and tumor cell killing required. Experience with standard readouts of tumor coculture (e.g., MSD, Luminex, ELISA, etc.) is a plus. Knowledge of standard TCR/CAR-T cell culture techniques is desired. Experience developing and applying complex flow cytometry panels for the characterization of TCR/CAR-T cells is preferred. Experience contributing to writing patents and/or regulatory documents is advantageous.
