A well‑established independent accountancy practice in Harrogate is looking to recruit a Semi Senior Accountant or Accounts Senior to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a practice professional who enjoys broad client exposure, hands‑on accounting work, and a more relaxed, people‑focused environment than many traditional firms offer. The Role
You’ll work closely with the Accounts Manager and Practice leadership team, supporting a diverse client base across a broad range of accounting responsibilities including:
* Accounts production
* Corporate tax compliance
* VAT returns
* Higher-level bookkeeping work
* Occasional payroll support
* Client communication and relationship management
This is a varied, hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys working across multiple areas rather than specialising narrowly.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
* Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
* Accounts production experience
* Exposure to VAT and corporate tax work
* A well‑rounded technical skillset
* Strong communication and client‑facing skills
* A reliable, team‑oriented and approachable personality
The firm is open to candidates at semi senior or accounts senior level, including part‑qualified ACA / ACCA professionals seeking further development.
