Learning Support Assistant – Special Educational Needs (SEN)

Pay: £13.75 per hour | Term Time Only

What You'll Be Doing:
* Supporting pupils with a range of learning, behavioural, and communication needs
* Assisting teachers with classroom activities and lesson delivery
* Helping to maintain a safe, positive, and engaging learning space
* Providing one-to-one or small group support when needed
* Encouraging independence, confidence, and social development
* Assisting with personal care or behaviour management, where appropriate
Who We're Looking For:
* Someone who genuinely enjoys working with children and young people
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* A calm, patient, and adaptable approach
* Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
* Experience in an SEN or school setting is helpful but not essential – full training is provided
Role Details:
* Location: Portsmouth and surrounding areas
* Contract: Term Time Only (up to 38 weeks per year)
* Rate of Pay: £13.75 per hour
* Start Date: September 2025 or sooner, depending on availability

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
