* Responsible for ensuring risk assessment briefings and toolbox talks are carried out
* Making sure operatives are working effectively and in a safe manner
* Responsible for ensuring the correct plant and materials are on site to manage a programme of works
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
* Ensuring the correct and safe method is in place when digging around buried services
* Able to confidently engage with operatives to drive Quality, H&S and Production standards
* Able to read programmes set by Site Management and convert to working practices to achieve target dates
* Expert knowledge in all aspects of groundwork elements (ground beams, drainage, sub-structure concrete, externals, roads, oversite housing slabs, cut and fill earthwork activities etc.)
* Commercial awareness of site activities
* Management of sub-contractors
* Excellent client communicator and proactive approach
* Able to read drawings to understand build details
* Reliable & punctual
* Able to work well with other trades and operatives on site and support the programme delivery on time
* Right to work in the UK
Cards & Qualifications Required:
* CITB 5-Day SMSTS
* First Aid at Work Certification
* Safety Critical Medical (Site Specific)
Additional/Desirable Cards & Qualifications:
* CPCS/NPORS* Excavator +/- 10t Tracked
* CPCS Lifting Ops/NPORS* Excavator as Crane
* CPCS/NPORS* Forward Tipping Dumper
* CPCS/NPORS* Ride on Roller/Road Roller
* Please note that to comply with client requirements, we can only accept NPORS cards affiliated with CSCS and carrying the CSCS hologram. We no longer accept traditional NPORS cards.
