Role Description
This is an on-site, full-time role for a Transport Coordinator with HGV Class 1 license, located in Doncaster. The Transport Coordinator will oversee and manage daily transportation activities, including scheduling deliveries, coordinating with drivers, and ensuring on-time shipments. Responsibilities also include maintaining efficient transport operations, addressing customer queries, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. The position involves close collaboration with team members and external stakeholders to maintain smooth operations and excellent customer service.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in Operations Management and Transportation Management
Effective Communication and Customer Service skills
Excellent Organization Skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
Familiarity with logistics, distribution networks, and industry regulations
HGV Class 1 driving license is required
Proficiency in using transportation and logistics management software is a plus
Previous experience in a transportation or warehouse management role is highly advantageous
A proactive attitude with attention to detail and problem-solving skills
