As a Digital Learning Designer, you will collaborate with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and colleagues to design, develop, and deliver engaging and effective digital learning solutions for various internal audiences and platforms.
You will work across all aspects of Learning & Development (L&D) in collaboration with L&D Partners and Strategic People Partners.
The key to success in this role is to apply instructional design principles, learning theories, and best practices to create learner-centric and outcome-oriented digital learning experiences. This includes aligning content with learners' needs, preferences, and goals, employing active learning strategies, and providing feedback and reinforcement.
Key responsibilities
1. Design, develop, and evaluate digital or hybrid learning solutions across the organization.
2. Conduct training needs analysis, define learning objectives, and evaluate learning outcomes using methods like interviews, surveys, focus groups, and tests, in collaboration with internal subject matter experts and stakeholders.
3. Advise Learning Partners on effective digital learning strategies and create engaging content to support learning outcomes.
4. Manage multiple digital learning projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and budget adherence, utilizing project management methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
5. Manage external partnerships and work with suppliers to access top-tier L&D products and services.
6. Support procurement and tendering processes for digital contracts and systems.
7. Stay updated on the customer journey to develop relevant content and delivery platforms.
8. Explore and implement new trends and innovations in digital learning, like microlearning, adaptive learning, AI, and gamification.
9. Manage the Learning & Journeys module within Workday, becoming a Workday SME.
10. Analyze and present digital learning analytics to stakeholders, providing insights and improvement recommendations.
11. Ensure all internal digital content is current and aligned with the latest learning trends, using strategies like the 5D i process.
12. Travel within the UK may be required.
13. Possess experience in digital design and development, with a good understanding of UX/UI design and authoring tools such as Elucidat, Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, Vyond, and Adobe Suite.
14. Have prior experience creating digital content using storyboards and various digital tools.
15. Work effectively under deadlines, with awareness of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
