Overview
Support the Legal Services Department with full legal secretarial and administrative duties. Manage new case set‑ups, document processing, database maintenance and invoicing while adhering to GDPR and Trust information governance policies.
Responsibilities
* Set up new cases electronically and manually, ensuring all claims documents comply with department procedures.
* Maintain accurate databases, spreadsheets and OneDrive platforms, extracting key information as required.
* Process invoices, manage correspondence, statements and legal documents.
* Act as first point of contact for the Legal Department, filtering and handling enquiries professionally, sensitively and timely.
* Assist in claim investigations liaising with UHCW staff and external parties, including solicitors and NHS organisations.
* Manage own workload, prioritise tasks and meet strict deadlines.
* Devise, maintain and amend template letters, documents and forms to improve efficient working practice.
Qualifications
* Good literacy skills with strong written and verbal communication ability.
* Experience managing databases, spreadsheets and digital platforms such as OneDrive.
* Ability to work independently and initiative to support the Legal Department workload.
* Knowledge of GDPR and Trust information governance standards is an asset.
