Veterinary Care Assistant – Gateshead Salary: £25,000 per annum Contract: Full Time, FTC 18 Months An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Care Assistant to join a compassionate and dedicated team providing outstanding care for both pets and clients. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about animal welfare and looking to build a rewarding career within veterinary practice. About the Role: As a Veterinary Care Assistant, you will play an essential role in supporting the clinical team and ensuring the wellbeing of patients. Duties will include assisting with animal handling, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the clinic, providing reception support, and helping to deliver exceptional client care. You will also play a part in encouraging client contributions and promoting responsible pet ownership. About You: The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills. You’ll be proactive, compassionate, and capable of working effectively in a busy and fast-paced environment. Applicants must be aged 18 or over due to the shift pattern.
