Can you spot issues before they become problems and drive high standards that make a real difference to people’s homes?We’re looking for a Repairs Surveyor to join our Asset Management team, playing a key role in delivering high-quality repairs, voids, and maintenance services across our housing stock. You’ll be out and about inspecting properties, working with contractors, and ensuring our customers receive the safe, well-maintained homes they deserve.This isn’t your typical surveying role. We also offer an optional nine-day fortnight scheme, allowing you to compress your hours if it suits the role.What you’ll be doingInspect properties and diagnose defects across responsive repairs, voids, and major worksPrepare specifications and manage works through to completionCarry out pre- and post-inspections to ensure quality and value for moneyWork closely with contractors to monitor performance and drive high standardsManage disrepair cases, complaints, and complex customer enquiriesEnsure health & safety compliance through audits and site inspectionsSupport efficient turnaround of void properties to minimise downtimeBuild strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and external partnersWhat we’re looking for:You’ll be a confident and proactive surveyor who enjoys being out on site, solving problems, and delivering results. You understand the importance of both technical expertise and great customer service.We’re looking for someone who:Has a qualification at HNC level (at minimum) in construction or maintenanceBrings experience in property maintenance, repairs, or contract managementHas strong knowledge of diagnosing defects and specifying remedial worksIs confident managing contractors and holding them accountable for quality and performanceCommunicates clearly and professionally with customers and stakeholdersCan manage a varied workload, prioritising effectively to meet deadlinesIs comfortable working independently while contributing to a wider teamHolds a full driving licence and has access to a vehicle for business useExperience in social housing is ideal, but just as important is your ability to deliver a great service, think on your feet, and continuously look for ways to improve.If specific qualifications are required, please upload them with your application to demonstrate your eligibility.At PA Housing, we believe in respect, integrity, and accountability.
