Data Engineer
We're looking for a Data Engineer to join a collaborative team delivering high-quality data solutions across modern cloud platforms. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys designing, building, and optimising data pipelines while working closely with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver practical business outcomes.
You’ll act as a technical contributor within the team, helping shape data system designs such as data meshes, warehouses, and event‑driven architectures. You’ll also build and refine data flows that connect operational systems with analytics and BI platforms, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability.
Alongside delivery, you’ll support the onboarding and development of other engineers, contribute to best practice across the engineering community, maintain strong technical standards, and have opportunities to share knowledge through blogs, workshops, seminars, and conferences.
Salary & Locations
Salary: £55,000‑£65,000
Locations: Bristol and London
Qualifications
* Strong Python experience.
* Hands‑on experience with Snowflake, dbt, AWS, and Terraform.
* Experience with data system design, including data lakes, data meshes, and data warehouses.
* Strong understanding of SQL and other data sources such as NoSQL and graph databases.
* Experience delivering infrastructure across data platforms such as Snowflake, Elastic, Redshift, Databricks, or Splunk.
* Strong data modelling and normalisation knowledge.
* Experience working with large datasets.
* Good understanding of security best practices.
* Strong teamwork, communication, and presentation skills.
* Active SC clearance.
