I am seeking a Conveyancing Solicitor to join the busy residential department of my client, an established multi-service law firm based in Bradford city centre.

They are recruiting for a Conveyancing Solicitor with strong technical skills and an appetite to mentor and train their Conveyancing Assistants.

This is a part-time role ( – hours) and they are open for different part-time models (e.g., 3 days, 4 days or condensed hours).

Candidates must be able to:

1. Manage own caseload in accordance with the firm’s procedures and quality standards, including sales and purchase, freehold and leasehold, flats, sharedownership, help to buy and new build.
2. Experience in dealing with new build properties and managing/developing relationships with residential property developers.
3. Able to hit the ground running with minimal supervision
4. Provide advice and guidance to clients ensuring that the client is regularly kept informed of progress and costs.
5. Ensure personal billing and time recording targets are met and maintained.
6. Ensure that personal objectives are reviewed and met.
7. Ensure that regular reviews of live matter reports, outstanding bills, debtors, WIP, client balances are carried out.
8. Develop a good relationship with existing and potential clients ensuring that a high standard of client care in exercised at all times.
9. Assist with team queries and the development of junior members of the department.
10. Undertake relevant training subject to the approval of Department Head to keep up to date with relevant legislation and practice, to include the Law Society CQS training.
11. Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with SRA Regulations.
12. Demonstrate pro-activity in efforts to market the Firm’s services to both existing and potential clients/contacts.
13. Carry out duties and responsibilities with due regard to the firm’s Equality & Diversity Policy.

Excellent communication, organisational and IT skills are essential along with a flexible approach and the ability to work well within a team in an open plan environment. Experience of new build is advantageous.
