Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Castleford for a Structures Engineer. The Structures Engineer will be responsible for conducting structural inspections, examinations, design, and assessments, adhering to Network Rail, Department of Transport standards, Eurocodes, and British Standards. Daily tasks include producing technical reports, engineering drawings, sketches, photos, and recommendations. Collaboration and communication with clients to provide tailored engineering solutions are essential parts of the role.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in structural inspections, examinations, design, and assessment. Previous STE comptence demonstration an advantage
* Experience with Network Rail standards, Department of Transport standards, Eurocodes, and British Standards
* Ability to produce technical reports with associated engineering drawings, sketches, and photos
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills to meet client needs
* Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field
* Professional certification or Chartered status with the Institution of Civil Engineers is a plus
* Experience in rail structure maintenance schemes is beneficial
