Senior Care Assistant – Nights (The Grove Care Home, Waltham, Grimsby)

Hours: Nights, 33 hours per week, working weekends on rota (Shift Times 19:00 - 07:00)
The Grove is a well-established part of the community in Waltham and a respected care home in the Grimsby area. It provides residential and specialist dementia care in a warm, family‑led setting. Dedicated staff led by the Manager understand that everyone is different and take time to get to know each resident individually, so they can settle into a comforting, enjoyable routine.

About the Senior Care Assistant Role
Within this role, you can really make a difference to our residents’ lives. Your responsibilities will include:
* Aiding residents’ emotional well‑being and social needs
* Administration and monitoring of medications for residents
* Supporting residents at meals time
* Mentoring and assisting new employees
* Implementing, monitoring and reviewing care plans to meet residents’ specific needs
* Planning, allocating and supervising the work of the team of care assistants

About You
* Experience as a Senior Care Assistant & leading a team
* No stranger to working night shifts
* A friendly & caring attitude
* Ability to engage well with residents and their families
* Understanding of people with dementia
* NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or willingness to work towards this
* Great communication skills, both written & verbal
