About the Opportunity
We are recruiting an Electrical Engineer to join a well-established multidisciplinary building services consultancy in Manchester. This role offers the chance to work across a diverse portfolio of projects, including commercial, residential, public sector, science, research, and mission-critical environments.
This position is well suited to an engineer who is developing their building services design experience and is keen to progress within a supportive, technically strong team. You will contribute to projects from concept through to detailed design, working closely with senior engineers and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the delivery of electrical engineering design across a range of building services projects
* Assist with concept development, detailed design, calculations, drawings, reports, and specifications
* Coordinate electrical designs with architects, mechanical engineers, and other consultants
* Participate in internal design meetings and technical discussions
* Communicate design information clearly to project teams and external partners
* Take responsibility for allocated design tasks with guidance from senior engineers
* Assist with design reviews, compliance checks, and quality assurance processes
* Support the preparation of project documentation and client deliverables
Requirements
* Proven experience working as an Electrical Engineer within building services design
* Experience using Revit and BIM workflows
* Working knowledge of Dialux, Relux, and Electrical OM
* Understanding of lighting, power distribution, containment, and life safety systems
* Experience working in a consultancy or design-led environment
* Ability to work collaboratively with clients, architects, and contractors
* Strong communication skills and attention to detail
* Motivated to take ownership of tasks and develop technical expertise
