HGV Driver Vacancy (Late Shift) - Derby Commercial Dealership
1. Basic Salary: £29,000 (£13.06 an hour)
2. Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 2:30pm - 11:00am
3. Fridays: 1:30pm - 9:00pm
4. Overtime opportunities, paid at 1.5x rate
We are working with a well-established commercial vehicle dealer who is seeking a qualified and experienced HGV Driver to join their busy Aftersales team on a late shift.
Working as part of a professional and supportive environment, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of vehicles, contributing to the high standards of service that customers expect.
Responsibilities as a HGV Driver:
5. Collecting and delivering customer vehicles (vans and trucks) in a timely and professional manner
6. Organising the yard and maintaining the correct order of customer vehicles
7. Ensuring the right vehicles are available for Technicians to work on at the appropriate time
8. Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting any issues or concerns
9. Providing a helpful and professional service to customers and colleagues
10. Supporting the wider Aftersales team where required
Requirements for the HGV Driver role:
11. HGV C+E (Class 1) licence – Essential
12. Previous HGV driving experience – Essential
13. Experience within a commercial vehicle or transport environment
14. Reliable, hardworking, and self-motivated with a positive attitude
15. Able to work effectively both on your own and as part of a team
