The role
Barrister / Solicitor Advocate (Higher Rights) Housing Disrepair | Hybrid | Liverpool & London We are seeking a talented and ambitious Barrister, or Solicitor/Advocate with Higher Rights, to join a growing in-house advocacy team specialising in Housing Disrepair. This is an exciting opportunity for an advocate who thrives in court, enjoys autonomy, and wants to be part of a forward-thinking firm where their role can evolve beyond traditional advocacy work. The Role This is a hands-on advocacy position focused primarily on Housing Disrepair matters, with responsibility for attending hearings, interim applications, and trials, while working closely with a dynamic and collaborative legal team. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality advocacy while helping shape the future direction of the department and wider firm initiatives. What Makes This Opportunity Different? This is more than a conventional in-house advocacy role. Alongside your Housing Disrepair caseload, you will have the opportunity to become involved in a number of innovative projects currently in development across the firm. These projects will provide scope to work as junior counsel, broaden your expertise, and diversify your experience beyond day-to-day court work. We are looking for someone who wants to contribute ideas, take ownership, and grow with the business.
