Cleaning Supervisor - Peterborough We're currently recruiting a dedicated Cleaning Supervisor to help ensure the smooth running of the operations on a full time basis, contracted to 37 hours per week. Here's what you need to know before applying with Compass Group UK&I: Supervising and supporting a team of cleaners to ensure high standards are consistently met Ensuring all cleaning activities are carried out in line with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Completing, reviewing and implementing risk assessments and method statements for all cleaning tasks Training new and existing staff on correct cleaning techniques, equipment use, COSHH, and health & safety procedures Monitoring cleaning standards through regular inspections and taking corrective action where required Ensuring all cleaning materials, equipment, and supplies are checked, stored correctly, and replenished as needed Acting as a responsible key holder, including opening and closing responsibilities where required Producing weekly rota's in line with operational needs and management guidelines Delegating tasks effectively and ensuring the team remain proactive, motivated, and compliant at all times Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH, and site-specific regulations Maintaining accurate records, including training logs, audits, and incident reports Our ideal Cleaning Supervisor will have: Previous experience supervising cleaning or frontline teams in a similar environment Strong knowledge of cleaning SOPs, risk assessments, COSHH, and health & safety legislation Experience training, coaching, and developing cleaning staff Excellent communication and leadership skills A positive, hands-on, and can-do attitude The ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards and a supportive approach Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Compass Group UK&I is committed to fostering an environment where every individual can truly be themselves at work and has equal opportunities to advance in their careers.
