Job Title: Account Director – Commercial & Mid-Corporate Insurance

Working Pattern: Birmingham, with hybrid working options

About the Role

We’re looking for a proactive and client-focused Account Director to join our team, managing a portfolio of Commercial and Mid-Corporate clients. You’ll be the key link between clients, brokers, and underwriters — ensuring tailored, competitively priced insurance solutions are delivered with efficiency and care.

What You’ll Be Doing

* Manage new business, renewals, and mid-term adjustments for Commercial and Mid-Corporate accounts

* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and underwriters

* Prepare and review high-quality market presentations and documentation

* Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards

* Monitor market trends and identify opportunities to grow your book of business

* Support junior colleagues and contribute to team success

What You’ll Bring

* Experience in commercial or mid-corporate insurance

* Strong understanding of insurance principles and regulatory requirements

* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

* High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

* Proficiency in relevant systems (Acturis and Outlook desirable)

* A collaborative, client-first approach with a drive to deliver results

Qualifications

* GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent)

* A-Levels (or equivalent) desirable

* Working towards or holding ACII (or equivalent insurance qualification) desirable
