Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Transactional Accounts Assistant to play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting key accounting processes. This position is central to posting day-to-day financial transactions, assisting with control account reconciliations, and contributing to ad hoc financial analysis. The successful candidate will thrive in a deadline-driven environment, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and transactions across multiple currencies. You'll also review and interpret financial data and reports from international sources, making this a great opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail and a strong interest in multi-currency accounting.
Key Responsibilities / Duties:
* Perform accurate weekly bank reconciliations across multiple currency accounts, ensuring all transactions are posted in a timely and precise manner.
* Manage employee expenses for the group, processing claims across various currencies and ensuring timely reimbursement and accurate ledger postings.
* Provide support with purchase ledger activities, including invoice processing and supplier account maintenance.
* Offer cover and support for purchase ledger team members during periods of annual leave or high-volume periods, ensuring continuity of service.
What we're looking for:
* Previous experience in a finance and/or accounting role
* Experience managing multiple bank accounts
* Proficient in using financial systems (e.g., Access Dimensions)
* Strong Excel skills, including the use of pivot tables
* Working knowledge of core accounting procedures, including month-end reconciliations, journal entries, and nominal ledger activity
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Positive, punctual, and reliable attitude
* Ability to follow processes and procedures effectively
* Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
