Title: On‑Site Electrician
Location: HMP Garth, Leyland (PR26 8NE)
Compensation: £30,866 – £36,135 | Permanent
Hours and Schedule: 39 hours per week, 8am–5pm; 1 in 4 weekends (rota) + 15% allowance

Key Duties
* Planned and reactive electrical maintenance
* Fault finding and repairs
* Minor works and like‑for‑like replacements
* Testing and inspections to BS7671
* Ensuring systems are safe, compliant and operational
Requirements
* Level 2 Electrical qualification
* 18th Edition (17th considered with training)
* Electrical maintenance experience
* Knowledge of Electricity at Work Regulations
* Able to work independently
* Basic IT skills
* Fire Alarm/CCTV experience desirable but not essential
* Prison security clearance including Standard DBS required – full support provided by Amey
