Role: Project Manager (Mechanical or Electrical Bias) Location: Edinburgh Hours: Full-Time | Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm (37.5 hours/week) Salary: 50k -60k per year Benefits: Car/Car Allowance, Private Medical Care | 25 Days Holiday Public Holidays Overview: We are working with a leading facilities management company to recruit a Project Manager with either a mechanical or electrical bias, to be based full-time on site in Edinburgh. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and deliver a range of life cycle and facilities-based projects within a complex environment, ideal for someone who thrives on managing project delivery, budgets, programmes, and client relationships. You'll play a key role in delivering projects that make a direct impact while working closely with stakeholders and contractors. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage a portfolio of minor and major works, including full project life cycle oversight Supervise on-site teams and subcontractors, ensuring quality, safety, and technical standards are met Drive project planning, financial control, and programme delivery Facilitate project meetings and lead on client communication and reporting Manage compliance with all statutory, health and safety, and CDM regulations Provide daily support to the Senior Project Manager to ensure operational success Procure equipment, manage plant hire, and oversee technical documentation Deliver projects on time, within budget, and in line with client expectations What We’re Looking For: A qualified Project Manager with a mechanical or electrical background Proven project delivery experience within FM, construction, healthcare, or complex environments Strong knowledge of H&S legislation (CDM, HASAWA) Experience managing contractors, commercial budgets, and stakeholder relationships Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications Comfortable leading teams, chairing meetings, and communicating at all levels Qualifications & Experience: City & Guilds / HNC / HND / NEBOSH / IOSH SMSTS certified Project management qualification (PRINCE2, Agile, etc.) or willingness to achieve one Experience with Microsoft Project or Primavera Strong IT skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Knowledge of QA documentation and commissioning processes Knowledge of HAI Scribe desirable
